"March is a month of considerable frustration - it is so near spring and yet across a great deal of the country the weather is still so violent and changeable that outdoor activity in our yards seems light years away."
- Thalassa Cruso
Good Morning and Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope today finds you in great health and spirit.
The March has finally arrived. Even though it's still cold, its very arrival signals the end of the winter and brings warm thoughts and hope for the spring. It simply feels different. I'm waiting with anticipation for the middle of March when I can start planting some of my seeds; my fingers are literally itching to get going.
Besides hopes for the spring, March also brings an emotional roller coaster. The days are longer now and it feels great to wake up to the rising sun yet again, but this bliss will be taken away from us soon. The daylight savings time is coming March 8 which will plunge us into morning darkness yet again and that is something I'm not too excited about. Yes, the days will be longer but waking up will be that much harder again. Not cool.
Weather wise the roller coaster continues.
The warm thoughts of spring will have to stay thoughts for a little while longer. We were forecasted a mild heat wave for Tuesday and Wednesday this week and some of us got our hopes up, but it's not turning out as great as we thought it would. Temperatures are milder than they have been over the last several weeks but still sub freezing and under seasonal. Today we are under freezing rain advisory, expecting snow and ice pellets and it supposed to get pretty messy too. The snow has already started.
Only time will tell how March 2015 is going to turn out. Lets buckle up and get ready for the ride. It could be a bumpy one. Anything is possible.
